Nothing captures the buzz of summer quite like Hed Kandi's Summer Mix releases. As Hed Kandi's biggest-selling title ever - previous editions have achieved gold status in the UK - this year’s instalment looks set to occupy similarly dizzying heights. With the now trademark mix feature of three differently flavoured mixed CDs, you'll not find a tastier selection of house music this summer.

Disc 1, Twisted Disco, takes off with a twist from some big names: Eric Prydz and his big Pijano track, Sharam's Daniel Beddingfield-sampling The One, and Adele's Cold Shoulder which gets an Out Of Office remix. There's a large serving of classics which have had a twisted tweak including Cederic Gervais' update of Delacy's Hideaway, Happy Clappers I Believe being brought right up to date with a remix from Aussie electro dons Vandalism, and Laidback Luke's not so laidback update of Paul Johnson's seminal Get Down, 2008-style. Norman Cook takes time out from being Fatboy Slim to furnish us with The Might Dub Katz' modestly named Just Another Groove, cut up into a totally twisted new context by Tocadisco.

Disc 2, Disco Kandi, has slightly softer edges than disc 1 but is no less floorfilling. Kicking off with Warren Clarke's disco-wiggle retouch of Utah Saints Something Good, there are appearances from Italy's finest Alex Gaudino, and Brighton’s finest Seamus Haji who drops Take Me Away 2008. Kandi producer StoneBridge and chanteuse Therese return (separately): she to add her distinctive vocals to The Mac Project's Another Love whilst StoneBridge’s Close To Heaven leads us nicely onto...

Disc 3, Disco Heaven, the playground of sweet melodies, funk-filled basslines, sexy vocals and all out good vibes. The Freemasons' outing brings us When You Touch Me with Hed Kandi favourite Katherine Ellis, a sensational disco-house record with a live band feel to it, The Don himself Ron Carroll is back together with Kandi once again - Walking Down The Street is given a Warren Clarke sprinkling of disco magic, whilst acts like ATFC and Shapeshifters just crank the heavenliness up to even loftier heights.

With Hed Kandi at full speed ahead taking the party to all corners of the globe throughout the summer months, The Mix: Summer 2008 is going to be everywhere!
